HIGH-TEMPERATURE CUT-OFF PROTECTION - OVERHEATING PROTECTION
If the sauna temperature rises too high for some reason, the Overheating Limiter will permanently switch off the currents to the heating elements. The Overheating Limiter can be reset to the position which allows currents to flow only after the sauna has cooled. The thermostat has a reset button to reset the Overheating Limiter. Before pressing the reset button, the possible cause of overheating should be investigated..

It has recently come to our attention that eBay has been flooded with products that appear to be similar to the original TURKU Sauna Heaters that we market but that are extremely low priced.
These similar units carry the
Amazon
name, but are in not related at all to the original TURKU Sauna Heater or Amazon whatsoever.
The shipping warehouse location is often in California, but these sellers are registered and based in China.
Please be advised that these units are nothing more than poor imitation of our well-known TURKU Sauna Heaters. TURKU Sauna and Spa Equipment is designed and engineered in the United States and adheres to all United States National Electrical Code (NEC) and Safety Standards. Home Spa Outlet LLC, has proudly been the official United States TURKU distributor for over 15 years.
Here are our safety concerns based on the imitation sauna heaters:
- Currently the imitators use 220V/50 Hz heating elements (Overseas Power Standard), not fully compatible to the 240V/60Hz Single Phase US Power Standards - even though the overseas seller tries to convince you otherwise.
- Overheating Protection is not installed but is required by United States National Electrical Code (NEC) and Safety Standards.
- Control Panels are also originally made to carry Overseas Power Standard with 220/50Hz current.
- Sauna Heater firewall is made of substandard material.
- Sauna Heater framing is made out of very thin material and will quickly corrode and lead to potential electrocution.
- Sauna Heater frame is too flexible which could lead to too much flexing and potentially electrocution.
Here at Home Spa Outlet, we completely understand that everyone wants to shop for spa equipment at the best possible price, even if that means a significant loss of product quality and lifespan. However, we consider it very important to inform you that 220V/50Hz (Overseas Power Standard) Heating Equipment’s does not fully comply with US / NEC standards and poses a tremendous Fire and Electrocution Hazard. Substandard quality material, poor craftsmanship, lack of Safety and Overheating Protections makes a fire safety concern even worse. Your life and the lives of your family are not worth any theoretical savings gained by purchasing substandard products
